PHYSIOTHERAPIST ASSISTANT PROGRAM

– 40 weeks (980 hours). 

This program was designed to provide students with a strong foundation to assist the Physiotherapists.  Physiotherapist Assistant assist in the implementation of intervention/treatment plans and programs that have been developed and are supervised by the physiotherapist.
   Your studies will consist of anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, gerontology, orientation to rehabilitation, health care system and ethical issues, communication skills and terminology, documentation and writing skills, psychology – developmental and disorders, medical disorders, conditions and terminology, communication disorders, therapeutic skills and procedures, clinical placement.
