A graduate from the Massage Therapy Program at Elegance will qualify you for both the theory and
practical examinations with the College of Massage
Therapists of Ontario. You can then become a
Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T.) and legally
practice your profession in the Province of
Ontario. You will have the opportunity to join the
health care professionals and open your own clinic
as an R.M.T. or find employment in private clinics,
sports facilities, health care institutions, spas,
etc.
The Massage
Therapy Program Curriculum is approved as a
vocational program and
is recognized by the College of Massage Therapists
of Ontario.

At
Elegance the Massage Therapy Program is for a period
of 2200 hours and consists of the following
modules: Anatomy, Physiology, Myology, Kinesiology,
Pathology, Theory of Massage, Swedish Technique,
Assessments, Treatments, Remedial Exercise,
Hydrotherapy, Advanced Techniques, Business and
Human Relations, Nutrition, Pharmacology, Public
Health Issues, Clinical Practice, Professional
Ethics and Conduct, College of Massage Therapists of
Ontario (code of conduct, scope of practice and
applicable acts and regulations). Our Massage
Therapy Clinic is on site and gives the students
extensive hands on training on actual clients giving
you valuable experience with high standards of
professionalism and communication skills.
There is one start date a year
which is the last week of August. Classes are
Monday to Thursday for 88 weeks. Prerequisites for
this program is a secondary school diploma or a
mature student entry examination as described by the
Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities. Our
Registered Massage Therapist Instructors possess
many years of experience in teaching and are
approved by the Ministry.
